My supervisor’s name is Andy Tao, and he is a Chinese teacher. He and I work in the classroom. He is very friendly, capable and easy going person. The place where I work is a medium size classroom, just like IHSL; there are some painting and posters on the wall which all about history and Chinese. I work with a lot middle school kids, most of them around age 12, they are very active and energetic. I have graded students' homework and classwork, answer their questions about Chinese, and talk with them in Chinese. I work every day from 2:15 PM to 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday. I usually get home around 6:00 PM. Working with kids is fun and interesting, and I also learned what teachers do besides the classroom, this is a fantastic internship.
You,re doing very good, you have a very good internship because you have the opportunity to talk in your native language with the students."hope you are enjoying your internship."
ReplyDeleteNice first post. I'm curious how much you speak Chinese in the classroom? Are students interested in learning the language from you? You could be a great teacher.
ReplyDeleteThat's the only post, Zhixing I always see you work so hard on your internship but you are not getting any points if you don't do the post, you know. You don't want to work hard for nothing right. By the way that's a cool internship you have, work hard okay.
